Hey beautiful people. If you are reading this I hope you are
doing well and if not I hope it gets better. In today’s blog post, I will be sharing my experience of the La Roche Posay Anthelios XL ultra-light invisible fluid sunscreen. I am obsessed with this sunscreen and every time I get asked about sunscreen recommendations, I automatically suggest this particular
sunscreen.

A lil backstory:

Before 1ST January 2021, I had never used any sunscreen on my face and I didn’t know the importance of sun protection. The
main reason why I had never used sunscreen is because I believed I was dark enough to not use any sunscreen because my melanin was protection enough (I was wrong about this).

The dermatologists I visited in my past never suggested I use sunscreen so I never saw the need of it. But in December of 2020, I started doing extensive research on skincare so I could start my skincare journey when the New Year began (the classic New Year, new me haha)

SKINCARE JOURNEY: HOW I STARTED AND PRODUCTS I USED.

I walked in at a Goodlife pharmacy one day with the aim of
getting sunscreen so I could kick start my skincare journey and the attendant I met, recommended the La Roche Posay Anthelios XL ultra-light shaka fluidsunscreen and I picked it without hesitation nor questions haha.

So now that you know my backstory, let me now share my
reasons why I am obsessed with this particular sunscreen and maybe influence you to join my obsession club .

Pros

It is light weight so even after layering my other skincare products, my face doesn’t feel greasy and heavy. If you have oily skin, you will definitely love this sunscreen.

My acne prone skin loves it because it doesn’t irritate it.

It does not leave a white cast on my dark skin.

It is affordable (thank goodness I live in Europe).

It is portable, can be carried around anywhere.

Cons

It has a bit of medical fragrance when I used it at first but right now I have adapted to the smell. So if you are someone who doesn’t like fragrance you should note this before purchasing it. The fragrance however doesn’t irritate my skin because I found out that fragrance and my skin are not besties.

It has a runny texture so the 2-finger rule might not work well with it. What I personally do, I will put the sunscreen on my palm then apply using my fingers. (This is a con to those who are strict about the 2-finger rule). Do what works for you.

Would I recommend this sunscreen? YES!!!!!

You can get it here at LOOKFANTANSTIC for less than $20 if you don’t live in Europe.
