| Dove beauty bar soap |
Hey my loves, on today’s blog post I share with you all the
cleanser I used when I first started my skincare journey in 2021. I have so far
changed to other cleansers which I will share my two-cents on them in future
posts. Today’s star is the Dove Beauty Bar Soap!

Dove beauty bar soap is a mild, moisture rich soap, so it
doesn’t strip the skin of its moisture. It contains moisturizing ingredients
that don’t strip the skin of its natural oils and help reinforce the skin
moisture-barrier making it an ideal cleanser for those with sensitive skin or
dry skin.
Please note that what works for me, might not work for me so please
consult a dermatologist before trying a new product and always do a patch test
on a small area of your skin like the back of your neck before trying it on
your face.

I used the dove beauty twice every day for a year and I
experienced no irritation on my skin. I had picked the soap at local beauty
store when I was in Kenya and it was less than KES 200 which is super
affordable. I would wet my skin with warm water, lather the soap on my
fingertips and gently apply it in a circle motion on my face for 60 seconds
then wash it wash off.
Pros
-It is affordable for a beginner.
-It didn’t strip my skin of its moisture and helped me repair
my skin moisture barrier.
-It doesn’t have fragrance that irritates my skin. Fragrance
is a big NO for my skin as it causes irritation.
Cons
I don’t have any con about it haha. I loved it.
Will I recommend it? Yes! If you are a beginner and on a
budget this is an affordable cleanser to kick-start your skincare journey.
